In the 1960s, before anyone had heard of “head canon” or “retconning,” Stan Lee began to award a “No-Prize” to any Marvel Comics reader who spotted a continuity error and offered a way to reconcile it, suggesting it was not, in fact, an error in the first place.

During a conversation about the conflicting accounts of the death of Judas in Christian scripture, a friend once told Ryan J. Downey that he seemed to be after a “No-Prize from God.” It was a remarkably fitting description for what many of us have tried to do with faith.

This podcast exists as a place, outside of any religious orthodoxy, where creative people from diverse backgrounds come to discuss life’s big questions - belief, unbelief, and everything between.

The central figures of the Norwegian black metal movement; the Sisters of the Valley, aka the “weed nuns”; astrologists; Christian heavy metal singers; witches; playwrights; bikers for Jesus; all are welcome, to trip out and discuss what it all means to them.
